I got this fine military Springfield Armory produced model M1 Garand. The receiver mfg. date is 7/44 and the barrel is dated 9/46. This would suggest to me that it was used quite a bit in the latter part of WWll and was re-arsenaled soon after the war. The ME measures "1" and the TE measures "2" it should make a reall accurate shooter. All of the parts that I see are USGI mfg. and all of the mechanics worked fine during test firing. The wood has the DOD Cartouche and the circled "P" which is correct for military wood. The wood has some slight dents from military use, but no major issues such as chips, splits or cracks. This rifle wold make a great addition to a Military collection and an accurate shooter as well.
This Rifle qualifies for C&R transfer.
