16" cmmg 300 blkout barrel

Post by hen0302 »

This barrel has a carbine length gas tube. I can't find a reload to function the action. I'm using 220 gr. Berry bullets. I've tried A1680 9.5 to 10.5 grs. I just got a can of CFE Black. I also have Shooter's World Blackout. Any suggestions. P.S. new to suppressed reloading.

What buffer and spring are you using?

Depending on some other factors, 10.5 of 1680 is on the low end of what I would expect to function.

What was the velocity?
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Thanks for the response. The spring and buffer are standard for the carbine. Not sure about the velocity. I thought about replacing the spring and buffer. Any suggestions?

if its a standard spring and a 3oz carbine buffer - something else is wrong

i'd start with checking for a misaligned gas block, or a gas leak somewhere first.
