Anyone shooting this NOE bullet?

Post by cwlongshot »

310-200-FN-AR1

It’s a candidate for a sub @200g. Profile such that it should feed well and such that PC should also work well. It’s a plain base that I’m looking for.

I have a NOE 178 RD mold that drops HP or CUP points if I like. But I suspect feeding issues as it’s point is pretty flat.

Have not tried that one, sorry.

Have you seen the new MP mold? Designed to feed in an AR and work in the mag. I haven't shot mine enough to know how it shoots yet, but it looks promising. However, if you want it as a hollow point, he needs to supply longer pins as the current ones don't expand well. https://www.mp-molds.com/product/mp-300 ... ltichoice/

I have shot a few of those loaded to 2.200" because of the tight throat in that upper, but could have easily loaded out to 2.230".

Loads were IMR 4227 from 9-11gr and all made round holes @ 50 yards from the 8" twist, pistol gas.
