Ammo shortage, part deux

Post by bangbangping »

Ran by the local Academy a few days ago just to see. Limit signs were posted and more folks than usual were picking over the few boxes of pistol/rifle ammo that were left. Lots of shotgun ammo still.

Just checked Midway. Zero 5.56. Zero 9mm ammo, except for one brand of ratshot.

From this I gather that shot shells are ineffective against the coronavirus. :P

Fortunately, some of us learned a lesson from the last ammo shortage. Apparently some didn't.

We just experienced the glory days of plenty. Probably over for a while.

I have a large stash of 9mm, 5.56mm, and 7.62x51. Just in case it is needed for anti social purposes.

I have a different stash of shooting ammo. I have quite a bit if it. Plus a bunch of reloading materials. The only thing I wish I had more of was 208 hornady .308 bullets.

I was wondering yesterday how business was for you rebel.
Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in

I may have to start bartering ammo for toilet paper before long, though.

Yes, it's f3%&king nuts. 9mm gone, limited now to two boxes 5.56 per person and that rate it will gone by Saturday. Have more ammo ordered and then I am screwed for a bit as distributors are out.

BTW -Not even during Obama did I see ammo leave distributors inventory that fast.

Between rifle and handgun, loaded and ready to be loaded, I'm probably good for around 80K rounds.

To be fair, you did not own the shop when the run on distributors happened at the end of 2012. The supply problems were still in effect tho when you started and there were a couple small runs.

This is possibly the start of the zombie apocalypse tho since all the zombies are out buying.
