If you take the magazine apart and place it on a rubber mat to prevent it from sliding around you can take the ribs down the proper amount through the whole magazine length using a flat joinery float (looks like a metal file cranked up to 11). It only takes a few strokes because these things are very aggressive at removing material.

This appears to be a recently revived necro thread. Did this bullet or a mold for it ever make it into production?
