10 grains of Lil'Gun IS supersonic in a 16" barrel. My go to load is 8 grains of Lil'Gun with anything over 200 grains and they all remain subsonic. The 245 grain bullets are running 1,035 fps.
At 10 grains of Lil'Gun you are really close to 1,300 fps.
When powder coating the bullets I have found that you can reduce the size to .310" before seating and it doesn't affect anything. I know that sometimes seating a .311"-.312" bullet that have been powder coated can swell the necks enough to cause problems in some guns. The powder coating also seems to keep the bullets from getting sized down as much by the case neck.
Something else I have started doing to help seat the powder coated bullets is I put case lube on them. This gets rid of the resistance that can sometimes cause a bullet to deform when seating it. It doesn't seem to affect accuracy or function.
