They make very good molds. I have three of them so far.

The HM 312-155-2, I found that they are a bit more of a bore rider than the LEE mold.
But that just makes them shoot better.

I have his 5.56mm mold.

I also have the 314-160 mold for my 7.62x39 stuff.

So far I am super happy with all three. I have only cast with them once.
Thats because they are 6 cavities and I haven't needed too. D'oh!!!

I still lube mine the old fashion way. But you guys sure have peaked my interest in powder coating.

Nice holes. Looks more than 20rds per group though.... I could only imagine the $$$$ if those were jacketed bullets LOL

I should have kept those .22LR containers.

You should really give powder coating a try. Especially if you're shooting boolits through an AR

I am going to try powder coating the 223's
I haven't gotten a great standard cast load yet. You really have to juggle allot to get it to work well.
5.56 chamber+Twist rate+ Velocity+alloy+ Action function.
Lot to get right.
To get them accurate I have to shoot them slow. Slower than the action will function.
Maybe powder coating can get the bullet to hold together at the fast velocity in my 1-9 twist?

I have shot powder coated 223 bullets out of a 9 twist at above 3,200 fps. I did not start seeing any issues until I was creeping up on 3,400 fps. I would make sure to size the bullets at .226" to give yourself the best chance possible to keep the pressures up.
