Looks nice. Any concerns about abrasiveness?

Sorry man just seeing this mow!

ONLY issues I ever herd of was Harbor Freight Matte Blk and I cannot confirm it as reality.

Puwder coating is simply considered a lube by many people. Ones I use are Definitely a slick smooth surface.

I just saw this too. Better late than never I suppose.

Will wet coating work with it?

I watched your video like I should have before... But anyway do you know anyone that has used any of their other powders? I went to the Columbia Coatings site and there are at least 6 colors I find interesting. I'd hate to drop a C note only to get one powder that works for the S&B method.

Tony, there's also wet coating. Using the powder dry isn't something I want to do. But wet coating is dissolved in acetone, then a very little bit of the solution is put on the bullets and agitated quite vigorously to coat. I put them on a screen to dry in ventilation. Then they get baked and cooled, then repeat. After that they get sized and GCed. The only negative is the ventilation part and that's easy.

This is what I use and where I buy them:

Look at the quantities coated for each amount of powder purchased, cursor down in the page above. The stuff stretches a VERY long way.

Those were acquired at bed Bath and beyond. You can get them online and I believe they're called powder coated mesh wire drawer organizers. There's a couple different sizes, just get one that fits in your oven.

Yeah there's a lot of colors out there, but not all of them work for the shake and bake method that we use for bullet powder coating. One trick that I found is to put the bullets and the powder in a couple of Ziploc bags and drop them into your vibrating Tumblr. Nothing makes static electricity like crazy and if any powder is gonna work that's the way you're going to make it work. But I recommend double bagging, because it can make a holy mess if it pops open… Yes I'm speaking from experience. ;)

I tried something new (to me) with the last batch I powder coated. I heated the bullets before shaking them in the powder. it worked great. good coverage on the bullets and after they were cooked, I couldn't see any thin spots. I set the un powdered bullets in an aluminum pan on top of my toaster oven while a batch of coated bullets was cooking. when the uncoated bullets got just barely too hot to touch, I dumped them into my shaker bucket and started shaking.
