Basic Casting Manual
I have decided to try my hand a bullet casting. Is there a good manual with step by step instructions.

Thats the one!! Dont be afraid of older versions either as the components change and having older manuals cannbe useful.

Re: Basic Casting Manual
Thanks, I was looking at that one on Amazon.
Re: Basic Casting Manual
Yup, forget the manual. Get a melter, some alloys and mould. Heat the mould up to ~ 400F before casting and make sure sprue plate is hot enough. Then practice. Ask questions on any bullet casting site for fine details. You are NOT baking a cake - most any method will work. If you are looking for cast load data, just use low side jacketed data.

It's free. It's much more in-depth on several subjects.
I'd highly recommend that ALL new casters read it.

I printed this out and made my own bound book.
A close second is the Lyman book.
If you order one of their casting kits, a printed copy of it is included.
