Looking for a 300 blk mold for casting.

Post by Tayous1 »

I have been wanting to cast for my 300 blk but all the molds I have bought that were for 30 calibers have been two short and the 230 gr mold is okay. I'm wanting something in the 120 gr to 150 gr that will work in an AR-15. Do you have any advice?

I'm loading manufactured bullets now but would like to have the ability to cast my own lighter weight Boolite for hunting and plinking. Mostly look to use this for Target shooting and to be close to my SD rounds when I sight in my pistol. Thanks for the advice and help!

The Lee C312-155-2R works and is only slightly heavier than the range you posted. I have to size it down to .310 or the case necks expand and jam.

Thanks for the information on that. I read that as I was doing a Google search but it's nice to see that it's a fact that can be backed up.

31-142C from accurate. PB or GC (D) FPRN works fine in 3 of mine. Comes out at 145gr. PCd.

The RCBS 7.62-130SPL weighs right at 140gr w/lube and GC and works well from 14gr to compressed loads of IMR4227. For a similar weight powder coat bullet, this one will be hard to beat: https://noebulletmolds.com/site/shop/bu ... cavity-gc/
