Make sure you check headspace. PSA has good warranty support but they don't do a lot of quality control. Some of their bargain barrels have tight (or short) chambers. Same for other makers as well. Chamber reamers are expensive so makers will use them a little too long and end up with short chambers after the reamer starts to wear.

not saying that checking headspace is a bad thing to do but a few months ago I bought a PSA "blem" pistol upper. I just put it on my lower and banged away. I am very happy with it. the only thing I can guess is the reason its a "blem" is the front takedown pin hole is tight and requires a little more effort to push the pin than normal. something I can gladly deal with for the low price I paid.

Recently purchased a blem upper for $299 and a blem lower for $125. Not a bad price for a complete AR. No problems so far......
