Gas port question (shortened 16" barrel)

Post by Hooz »

I am toying with the idea of having one of your 16" 300 BLK barrels shortened so I can pin/weld one of my suppressor mounts to bring it up to 16" total length. I was going to get one of your 14.7" barrels, but I don't think that will get me there with my muzzle device.

Would I need to resize the gas port if I'm only shortening it an inch or so? I guess a better question is, are the gas ports on your 16" barrels the same as they are on your 14.7" barrels?

The 16" gas port is larger than the 14.7" gas port so you may want to use a heavy buffer if that what you decide to do.
