Thanks for jumping on! I ordered my 300 blk 16" recon fluted a few weeks ago. Just waiting on them to be back in stock. I missed the last time they were in stock by a week or so. It'll be worth the wait. Any idea on the time frame?

I have an 11.3 in barrel and have been tinkering with sub loads. I have some cycling issues with sub loads. Does Wilson divulge the port size on your barrels so I have some basis of comparison, or do I have to tear it down and measure it? Thanks.

Port specs are listed on each barrel schematic.

Just ordered a Recon 1:7 16" fluted barrel last week for my subsonic build. They are currently backordered. Any idea when they will be available?

I have 2 of the 11.3" Barrels on backorder. I ordered them on May 4. Has anyone received a barrel lately?

It is fairly apparent that Wilson is getting barrels fast enough to support their more profitable full rifle and upper sales, but not fast enough to have any barrels left over for "barrel only" orders. Apparently their supplier can't keep up with the demand for all of Wilson's needs. I think this explains why Wilson is so adamant about not providing estimated delivery dates for their barrels - they don't know because it depends on when the demand for uppers/full rifles declines suffiently to have any left over barrels.

Of course, this is annoying. In an old interview about pistolsmithing, Bill Wilson once said, "Always quote the customer as accurate a delivery time as possible, do what you tell them you will do..." It would seem that some of Bill's original business ideals have become less important over the years.

I was hoping that the Wilson rep would have a reply but as my weekly Friday calls to customer service have indicated, there is not idea when barrels will be available again. They are not even going to hazard a guess. I will be calling this afternoon just to say hi to Scott if nothing else.
