The word I got was mid October
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.

Got a complete upper a little while back.... accurate, reliable, smooth shooting, and if you care about looks it is one of the nicest I've ever seen in an AR15.AR_Cowboy wrote:I have 2 of the 11.3" Barrels on backorder. I ordered them on May 4. Has anyone received a barrel lately?
Stick
I've done work photography work with 45 or so manufacturers within the firearm community, my images have been used for catalogs, magazines, covers, etc. I have also shot work for the US Military. I am prior service and a full time LEO.
I now also shoot and write for Military Times. My primary focus will stay with weapons, accessories and related equipment reviews. Manufacturers can reach me through any of the boards. Have something new? Let me know.

The barrels should have been in mid October and the gun completed.DustyJacket wrote:The word I got was mid October
Went in Friday - the best the WC rep could say is hopefully before the end of the year.
While my $900 deposit rots........
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.
Re: Hello everyone! Greetings from Wilson Combat!
I've had a barrel on order from Wilson since mid-July. My order confirmation said, "Back ordered items may take up to 4 weeks for delivery." I don't know why a business with Wilson's reputation would even be taking barrel orders when they don't have a clue as to when they can deliver them.

Well, after about 21 weeks of waiting, my Wilson Combat 16" fluted 1:7 Recon barrel is finally on the way. I've had all of the other stuff I needed to build my upper sitting in a box for months. By the the middle of next it will be built and I can start in on subsonic load development. As painful as the wait has been, I'm convinced this is the perfect barrel for me and I can't wait to get at it!
