Nope. The gas system is the same as that of the 223REM rifles in that it has no adjustment. The piston rod itself is shorter and the gas block is mounted closer to the upper. I don't know if it's in the "pistol" position or not on the 16" version.Whole Bunches wrote:

No it's designed to cycle heavy loads with a suppressor, without you might have issues. I don't know at what bullet weight this starts, but 220gr for sure.

USBP379 is correct. The outside threads on the 51T indeed fall under the extended lip on the MK109. Sounds goofy but a simple popsicle stick or small screwdriver works best to depress the lever and get one full rotation which is enough to clear the lip.
