Mk116 scope mount question
I'm switching from an EoTech to a scope with fairly long eye relief on my Mk116, wonder whether it is better to use a standard Bobro mount, which might need to extend beyond the front of the receiver onto the top forend rail to get correct eye relief, or use the "extended" version of the Bobro, and keep the mount wholly on the receiver. Standard mounts are usually more rigid, and less likely to get bent, so the question is: is the top forend rail suitably rigid also?

Re: Mk116 scope mount question
The forend rail will work just fine for optics mounting. I have a few friends that have these rifles that run their optics that way.
Personally I like the American Defense mounts. I used one on my mk216 and love it.

Still looking for some suggestions for protecting the barrel from a scope mount. I know some of you have some vintage, prized SA 22s that you dont want scarred by a scope mount.
