Re: Upper w/pistol length gas tube question
Just bought a complete CMMG rifle (16")from an online reatailer. After receiving it I realized it had a pistol length gas system. The item desription said nothing about the pistol gas. I put a call in to CMMG and asked a tech about firing super sonic loads through it, since I am using this for hunting and don't plan to use sub sonics. He said it is no problem, and that it will function fine. Whats up?

The port is probably small enough that it is not an issue when firing supersonics. I know cycling issues can pop up if firing supersonics through a gun setup for subsonics.

Upper w/pistol length gas tube question
Idk if anyone makes one for rifle length setup but if you want more room for gas to expand to delay system you might try and find one of those "pigtail" gas tubes. I know anderson makes one for pistol length systems. Id think that would add a weird twangy feel every time it fires though cause its basically a spring. That and you hardly ever see them so that makes me question their effectiveness as well.
