I sure hope there is one because I haven't found a good way yet and it's due.
Years ago I heard about a Kroil soak, but haven't tried that yet. I also heard about a spray cleaner, I won't get the name correct so I won't try, but it's for cleaning carbon out of a turbo. The problem with it is that I understand that it shouldn't be used on aluminum and I think part of my can that comes apart for cleaning is aluminum (Ssssss! Booo!).
TIA

The YHM Turbo? Those cans are all-SS I thought. In which case a good soak in CLR would do the trick.

Dead Air got back to me and stated that they use 50/50 water/CLR and cautioned to not get it on any finished parts as it'll remove the finish.

Re: Help! Does someone have a good way to clean a suppressor?
One of the early pieces of research I did when I first started looking into getting a suppressor was how to go about cleaning it. I will have to circle back around at some point and make a final decision from the viable options. But there was one video that was almost an hour long on youtube. It compared 4 or 5 different options including an ultrasonic cleaner.
It was interesting to watch and also had a couple don'ts. But one of the main things they pointed out was, what you can do to clean yours effectively will depend a lot on what metals are used in the construction. They pointed out that some cleaners ( I think "Purple Stuff" was what they demo'd in the video) that will flat out EAT things made of aluminum.

For the life of me I cannot find that video now. Anyway there is nothing earth-shattering in it as far as info goes. There is one other place I can look that I may be able to find it. Will post linky if I do.
