ATF Form 1 - Honey Badger Lower - Serial # Question

Post by Randy300Blackout »

Ok, I hear there are a lot of people getting rejections on these Honey Badger Lowers from Spike's Tactical because of the Model Number and I think I have the "ST15" in correctly but I had a question on my Serial Number. I believe the Serial # is "NSL0667XX", correct? I am assuming I don't leave off the NSL on the Eform.

All of my other SBR lowers have been completely engraved and not engraved and roll stamped seperately.

Thanks for the help.

Leave the NSL off and you'll see what its like to wait a few months to only get a rejection letter and start the wait all over again.
All kidding aside, the NSL is part of the serial number.

I SBR'd my honey badger lower, ST15 model number, no dash, but my serial number is US-xxxxx, all roll stamped in the same font. They must have changed something.

I was just farting around with my precision AR's bipod, and noticed that it also has a USxxxxx serial number, but it's an Aero Precision lower. Coincidence?

Quick question - is there a space between the NSL and 123456

NSL123456

or

NSL 123456

Or is that splitting hairs. Mine has a definite larger gap between the letters and the numbers than your photo. My zero begins between the - and the M in "Cal - Multi" just beneath it.

Don't leave a space.

Thanks TMD.

Funny story for the OP. I Form 1'd a receiver for my Honey Badger clone build back in January. I saw your post here and then realized after reading your question, I had submitted the serial # for another Spikes lower; not my Honey Badger lower. I always paper file, so I went back and re-read my Form 1 (PDF) and low and behold I filled it out correctly, just used a different receiver information (spider roll mark edition). Well, I am glad I save all the files as separate PDF's, so I quickly changed the serial # and date's and I'm off to the post office to have another receiver in NFA jail. My stupid mistake forced me to feed my own NFA addiction. Must be Karma speaking. I deserve another SBR....

i just had a form 1 disapproved for not putting the letters in front of my sn on my spikes lower, only took them 2 1/2 weeks to disapprove it but that puts me at the back of the line when i get to refile on the 5th since i have to wait until payday due to them taking 30 days for a refund.
