Creating my NFA Trust would like to Name it J&G mylastname NFA Firearms Trust. The J and G are Mine and my Fathers initials. Tried looking online for acceptable NFA Trust Names but couldn't find any standards. Trying to keep Trust Name as short as possible for engraving Purposes.
Also to shorten even more can the NFA Firearms portion be dropped?
thanks,
J.T.
Is an & symbol ok to Put in NFA Trust Name?

Re: Is an & symbol ok to Put in NFA Trust Name?
For shortness how about just "the yourlastname NFA trust"? Or "yourlastname NFA trust". I added a "the" to mine because it sounds more official and regal. I did "the first name last name NFA trust" not completely short but when I go to engrave it has my name on it if Johnny law asks to see it... I understand having your father in the name, but as long as he's a trustee as well as your going for shortness. I'd go with just a last name NFA trust. Simple and short. IMHO

'The Trust' would be acceptable (if the name of your trust was 'The Trust.') You don't need NFA, or Revocable, or Living, and any alpha-numeric character that is actually in the Trust name is required.
'J&G MyLastName Trust' would be fine.

But if you want to create a revocable Trust, make sure that's what you create.eracer wrote:'The Trust' would be acceptable (if the name of your trust was 'The Trust.') You don't need NFA, or Revocable, or Living, and any alpha-numeric character that is actually in the Trust name is required.

Just trying to clarify he needs to create the type of "turst" he intends to create.redfernsoljah wrote:he is right regardless it is a turst the revocable living is not needed.
The name doesn't need to say "revocable," but the substantive part needs to make clear the type of Trust created.
Me, I'd use it in the Trust name . . . YMMV

"Turst" exactly Ipad sticklers maybe has to do with my TBI from getting hit with a mortar and not seeing shit right. I am ticked even though you probably meant it as a joke. Fucking funny guy.
