I almost did that this time. I had saved the trimmings and almost decided to cook them down. Got caught up in another project Saturday and did not grt it done.
If you eventually stockpile enough tallow to deep fry "Freedom Fries", it is worth the work. I worked up a load, er, recipe that everyone who has sampled said that they are the best fries they've ever had. I'll post in a different thread if anyone is interested.
