I guess I could have just used an M die to squeeze the neck down as well. Might have to take a serious look at it because there is a ton more bullets to choose from in a more appropriate weight as well.

What kind of water or powder capacity are you seeing with the 6.5 case ?

I was looking at some 6mm projectiles tonight from the accurate shooter site it ranged from a 58 gr v-max all the way to the 115 dtac. Which is a nice spread in weight. I guess the balance would be figuring out a good throat length to shoot the 115 and at the same time hopefully still find a way to shoot the light ones accurate also.

They make both of those bullets still, it would be interesting to see what kind of velocities could be attained with them.

I have decided t use a 221 Fireball necked up to use 6mm bullets. It would be even easier than what I had originally envisioned. And it will not be a lot more usable as well because with the 55 grain 6mm bullet I should be able to get a lot more velocity than the 90 grain 6.5 that was the lightest 6.5 bullet.

Case capacity on a 221 Fireball is 21 grains of water versus 19.4 for the previous iteration.

Only thing I need to do is adjust my chop saw for the new dimension and it will also work with the 300 Blackout with a bit more trimming.

It is basically a 6x35 KAC.

It would be awesome to read a write up on it !

I keep thinking about wanting to build one.
