And that is why 300 is overkill for home defense

But who uses fmj's for home defense?
Not that the BO would or wouldnt be a choice for me as far as caliber is concerned, use the right bullet for the job at hand.
Im not including hangun bullets, the reason being say for example the pointy 124g BO round used in the test at around 24-2500 fps vs a round nose 45 acp at 800 fps. Im pretty sure the 45 wont penetrate through 21" of wood.
We need to stop asking "How stupid can you be?" Too many people see it as a challenge

No such thing (at my house).
FWIW, my first weapon to reach in that situation is a hand gun.
Maybe I need to change.

I'd like to see this test again with a flesh barrier prior to the stack of wood, and using soft points or some other live target oriented bullets. I think it would end a lot differently.

Kinda like a "Box-o-truth" with better aim at the intruder.

What does penetration through wood blocks, or FMJ bullets, have to do with home defense?

Don't make stupid assumptions based on videos that don't mean anything.

A 110 vmax would probably be a different story.
