Nice color scheme! Is that brace Cerakoted? How does the lower rubber portion seem to be holding up to cracks?

Re: Anyone interested in a Firearm Photography thread?
Thanks. I bought the complete pistol lower directly from AERO Precision in Tacoma, WA less than 2 weeks ago. One of the reasons that I wanted it was the FDE SB brace. When it arrived the brace appeared to be molded with the color, both flexible and solid parts. Time will tell on durability.
Your question has prompted me to contact both AERO and SB this next week to find the answer. I'll post it here when I get an answer.
For now this is all I found on the brace:

Scratch, SB finally got back to me:
"Hi Bill,
Thank you for supporting SB Tactical! The brace materials are colored before production, so they are is molded together like that. However you can use Cerakote (or similar products) to change the appearance if you would like to. We don’t recommend coating the rubber portion of the brace, only because the coating doesn’t hold up well over time (too much flexing with the rubber). The brace and rubber are good to about 180-200 degrees for a few hours.
Kind regards,
The SB Tactical Team"
