HYDRO DIP?

Post by RED333 »

Well this what ya get when you have to much time on your hands in the rain.
5 gallon bucket with 4 gallons of water.
Plastic paint, I used 2 colors, green and tan.
Some kind of stick.
Wire to hand your part,
and last but not least you part.

Spray the paint, into the center of the water, first one color then the 2nd color.
I went with 3 cycles of color.
So I sprayed 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 all pointed at the center of the bucket.
You end up with rings on paint, mix a bit with the stick.
Now dip you part into the water till it is all the way under.
DO NOT PULL IT OUT YET
Let the paint on the water gel, takes about a min or so, take the
stick and get the paint off the water, it will clump to the stick.
NOW lift out the part, this is what you get.

The paint I used will clean off with paint thinner.

No clear coat, used gloss paint, next one will be with flat paint.
How it holds up, no idea, just did it last night, but will report as time goes by.

Found it on youtube, you can buy a DIY process that is a film, but this is "one of a kind" LOL

DITTO!!!!!!!
Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in
