Their data shows that LIL gun powder gives more velocity, less pressure, and with less powder every time for "all bullets weights" used. Of course this does not take into account the accuracy or other things you can tell by shooting. Anyway, I was just wondering why some many use H110 instead of Lil gun for their 300 blackout reloads, even with other bullets.
Yes, Lil gun is a good performer. It does reportedly have some issues in cold weather. Although pressure may be lower, it also burns VERY HOT. If you rapid fire with it, your barrel will get REALLY scorching hot. H110 has great consistency and works for a wide variety of bullet weights. It is far better(more accurate) than lil gun with 150gr pills for instance IN MY OPINION/EXPERIENCE.
There is also a lot of problems with throat erosion in the barrel or forcing cone of revolvers. There have been a couple of posts about it here so it may not be that big of an issue in the rifles considering the number of people using it. Just something to be aware of. I have ran it, but probably have not used a pound in the last few years. For me best results were mid weight supers.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Right on Reb... that 300-MP stuff SUCKS.
Just curious what problems you guys had with the 300MP? I used a bottle on a bunch of M-80 pulls a while back and it seemed to work just fine.
When H1110 and Lil Gun were hard to get, I got my hands on a jug. It's definatley not my "favorite" powder, but like IMR 4227, was suitable replacement when the others were scarce.
Are you using it for Subs or supers?

Yes...18.2 gr of Lilgun under these is my "go to" load. additional specs are in my previous post on this thread.

Ok, I just got some Speer TNT 125gr bullets from Graf and sons. I will give that load a try.

Howdy,

Here's a short vid of a Speer 125gr TNT w/ 17.8gr of H110 fired from a 10.5" barrel @30yds.

Please overlook the "mess" around my junk pile.

I'll post a pic of the bullet later.

Instead of starting a new post I will continue this one.

I just bought 1,000 bullets for $162.00 and was looking for information the reloading manual I have does not give information for this bullet even online ones don't list this bullet. I have seen the OAL go from 2.100 to 2.0050.

The powder I'm using is H-110 and it's out of a 8.5 inch barrel mostly looking for accuracy more then anything yet would like them to expand also as I would like to try this on a hog or two if I get the chance but that might be out of my 16" barrel. Anyway any advice would help out.

I did read a lot of what people posted yet only a few talked about what barrel they are using and I did see how accurate they are but not really how much destruction they do. Thanks!
