Reload at the range...

I learn the most valuable information from this site. Thanks everyone. I have been using this hand loader for years http://leeprecision.com/lee-loader-308-win.html and a plastic hammer, the deer don't know the difference. I'm just now getting a press because I'm going to start reloading for semi-auto and shooting just for fun.

Prior to just purchasing Primers the other day (Gun shops have none for several months here). I made dummy rounds and check all measurements on my Lee Loadmaster. I confirmed by using a Wilson Headspace gauge (well worth every penny of $30). If they fit my Headspace gauge, it will fit my AR15 300 Blackout chamber. My first 5 dummy bullets did not fit, I had to adjust the sizing die to get the shoulder just right. Also the bullet seat die.. But once all were adjusted, it off and running. Made my first 100 rounds of 300 today, ran each thru the Headspace gauge again and into the shooting box for testing.

Using: Case: Mix brass .223 cut down to 300 spec.
Powder: IMR 4227 ( 17.1 gn or 1.33cc on the Lee Double Disk chart)
Primer: CCI #400 (I know for AR15 should use #41, CAN'T find any period) these should work I'm told
Bullets: Sierra 125gr .308 (Almost a compressed load)

I don't see ANY 300BLK loading info on the Alliant page, am I missing something?
I just got a box of 208 AMAX and have 2400 powder.
Help, I want to shoot my 10" SBR with can!

Hornady says 10.3 gr. max @ 2.25 OAL for 1300 fps. Work down from there.

Some might disagree but I knew absolutely nothing about ammo when I started out, I found YouTube to be invaluable starting out. I still watch some of they videos if I feel I might be getting stuck on something.
