Hoping some of you here have any experience with the 147gr .308 FMJ's from American Reloading. They occassionally have new and pulled listed.
I compared these to another unnamed 147gr FMJ and the profile used in a house reloaded 300 BO was different, as the ogive of the American Reloading projectiles were much higher than the other.
Anyone else load these at or past the cannelure?

Re: 147gr FMJ BT - Profile question
I recently loaded these to 2.17” (or right at the base of the cannelure) over 20.0 grains of Shooters World SBR-Socom. I got 1900-1910 fps from my 10.5” barrel.
I still have to do accuracy testing, but at close range on steel (50-200 yds), I’m totally satisfied with this load.

I forgot to include a photo yesterday. Here you go:
Sorry, it’s a bit lo-res due to the forum software not allowing the full-sized images that my camera takes, so this is a screenshot.

Thank you for that. I am loading them at the cannelure or slightly further up. when I get a chance I'll snap a pic of the other profile that bullet that I have. I'm just curios about the reference to "M80" and which one is the profile for "M80".
Re: 147gr FMJ BT - Profile question
You’re most welcome!
M80 refers to the 7.62x51 military loading dubbed M80. It’s kinda like how 5.56 has M193, M855, Mk262, and Mk318. They’re just different configuration specs for the same caliber cartridge.
These 147 FMJBTs happen to be M80 spec projectiles, but they got sold off as components instead of being loaded into 7.62x51.
I wrote M80 on my baggie because writing “147 FMJBT” is more cumbersome to write, and this is the only version of the M80 projectile that I have.
