So I know there is no data out there for Titewad powder to feed into QL..
My question is, do you think there is any reasonably safe way to use the data for Titewad for various calibers and bullet weights from http://www.gmdr.com/lever/lowveldata.htm in order to come up with a subsonic bolt action load for this powder for 300 blackout?
Hodgdon refuses to release any data for the powder-- I'm looking for some kind of a lab that can do testing but I have a feeling it would cost a fortune.

Re: Titewad
I've been using Titewad for sub .300blk loads for awhile with 110gr .30 carbine and 150gr FP Xtreme plated bullets. I haven't put them on the forum because it is unpublished and I dont want anyone blaming me if it didn't work for them.
Re: Titewad
Ya I think I'm only getting 750FPS with a 147gr load and I'm not super comfortable going over 3.5 grains without more data.
Re: Titewad
You don't need data. I'm certain you can go up to 5 gr safely with a 147. Max pressure is 55,000-62,000psi. No way you're exceeding that with 5gr of pistol/shotgun powder and a relatively light bullet.
Re: Titewad
I've gone to 6 gr red dot (just a tad slower) with 145gr cast, works fine. Look for 32-20 data.
Re: Titewad
I tend to agree considering considering the max pressure of 32-20 is 16k CUP and gmdr was using 5 gr of Titewad with a 115 gr bullet... I just wish I had SOMETHING to correlate that too. It's dumb that hodgdon won't release the data....

@detcader:
Work up slowly and watch for pressure signs. Titewad can build pressure quickly and must be approached cautiously. If you want a super load look elsewhere.
What velocity are you chasing?

I'm looking for 950 out of a 6" barrel with 147 grain FMJs

Build some 5rd ladder loads going up .2gr each. Look at the primers for pressure signs, extraction difficulty, and your velocities for erratic spikes.
Looking at the 170gr 30-30 data you may need 1gr more to reach 950fps. 4.5 gr would not scare me in the least but work up slowly to be safe.
