Speer bullets

Post by savage204 »

Has anyone seen any of the Speer 150s for sale? I haven't seen them in years. I sent Speer a email asking when they would be available and received a generic response.

I haven't seen any for sale but just a few days ago, I found a partial box of them in my cabinet and loaded them over 18 gr of H-110.

Dunno, my 300bo bolt gun died before deer season started. Had planned on running the Speer 125 TNT with near max powder load. Ended up trying it in my 762x39 bolt gun, got great accuracy, took that to the field with confidence. It is a varmint bullet designed to explosively expand driven at 3k+ fps from a 308 or 30-06 or similar... running it at 2200-2400 from a 300bo or 763x39 should make it perform as an ideal deer bullet within 200 yards

A buddy of mine has taken deer with vmax bullets. I don't remember if it was 110 or 125s. But a solid shot just behind the shoulder dropped it right there. Bullet kinda acted like a varmint Bullet, no exit but the lungs and heart was jelly.
