I have been converting my 223 brass on a Dillon Super 1050, Dillon carbide Black Out trim die and Dillon RT1500 trimmer.
Never had a problem, than I noticed a lot more cull cases. Case mouths at random have a small dent on mouth edge plus not trimmed properly.
Any ideas?
Anyone have a Clue?

No clue,
But a guess would be where the case hit the deflector,
But a guess would be where the case hit the deflector,
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Re: Anyone have a Clue?
I re-worded my posting to reflect this is forming 300 Black Out From 223 range brass.
And I did contact Dillon.
And I did contact Dillon.
Re: Anyone have a Clue?
A 223 will hit just below the shoulder, about where the 300 Blackout neck will be.
Sounds like what ever you picked up was either over gassed or a hot load.
Other option is a low pressure load that collapsed the case. Hard to say without a photo.
My guess is if you check some, they will be out of round or have a small flat spot from the first firing.

Put a patch of velcro on the deflector and that will go away.

Talked with Dillon. They told me to flip the cutter blade. Did so and now it works. Go Figure?
