As the 190s are currently harder to find than an honest politician picked up some 175 Sub-x bullets to try.
The differences between it and the 190 are plain to see:
Conditions at range were decent- wind was intermittent but light temp in the mid 80s.
9gr of H110 netted 900fps and about an inch @ 50, ES was in the 40s.
11gr of IMR4198 swung between 800-900fps with accuracy equally unimpressive.
11.5gr of CFEBLK was pretty stable at 1000fps- accuracy was around an inch @ 50, opening up to 2-2.5" @ 100.
Obviously just an initial outing with a tiny sample size but that's what it did in a 16" bolt.

What COAL? I did 2.0
Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
Any follow up data ?
Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
Newbie here! I'm currently doing some loads with the 175 subx as well. Here's what I've seen so far out of a suppressed 10" setup
Supersonic. 3 shot ladder.
COL @ 2.1 H110powder
12.4gr
1- 1315fps
2- 1308fps
3- 1315fps
1+moa@ 100yards (I didn't take an actual measurement)
12.6gr
1-1340fps
2-1325fps
3-1353fps
1+moa@100
12.8gr
1-1376fps
2-1345fps
3-1380fps
Just under 1moa@100
13gr
1-1456fps
2-1443fps
3-1475fps
.549moa @100yards
I will test this same load data again and try to back this up. But I'm pretty happy with it so far.
I made some loads with h110 to try and get subsonic. 9.5gr and shot 4. All were exactly 1062fps. So not quite subsonic. More tests coming soon!

Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
Can you tell me how loud the crack on your loads (those above 1000) compared to a super sonic load? When I start reloading my 190’s, was thinking around 1200 fps for a little more umph at 100 yards provided the crack is soft compared to a super sonic full load.
Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
They definitely don't bark like the 110vmax at over 2k lol.
At 1062fps you can hear the supersonic crack but it's not bad at all. At 1450fps it's louder with some crack to it but I don't think it's bad at all. And im running a YHM k can So it's louder anyway than a longer suppressor. It's not subsonic quite by any stretch but it doesn't have the big boom of a hot load if that makes sense.

Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
I have a sandman s that I will be using. Works great on sub sonic. Heck, shooting 110 v max full loads, could shoot without hearing protection but I wouldn't do it all day. Thanks for the reply.

You might want to check your chronograph, maybe a setting. Basically it would be impossible for the only four shots to read the same, happen in a row. That and 1062 fps would be subsonic, unless the air temp was below 10 degrees.
At 60 degrees speed of sound is over 1100 fps.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
Re: 175 Sub-X initial testing
Thanks I will check it out! I'm definitely in the stage of figuring it out! Lol. I thought it was odd that they were all dead on. They were my last shot and it was nearing dark so I just wrote it down and packed it up. What's strange it that if they were in fact subsonic I much have been hearing an echo or something. I was pretty sure I could hear the "crack of supersonic. But heck I am definitely no expert on any of it.
