Hi. I could use some help finding the proper grain to start with for my powder coated, 230 grain bullets I made with my Lee mold.
I'm shooting them in an AR15, 8 1/2" barrel and I want it to be subsonic.
My powder is CFE BLK.
I've got a few manuals and online sources, but I'm not quite sure which data to compare to if the lead bullets are powder coated.
Thanks!

Re: Load data help for powder coated 230 grain for AR15
With any subsonic load, start high and work down. Having used many different heavy grain cast powedercoated bullets for subsonic 300blk. To include the lee 230. I use the closest data for jackets and work down. I have not used CFE blk but would do the same procedure as I have done multiple times. A chronograph is a must.
