I have had to catastrophic failures with subsonic loads. The loads are 8.5 grains of Lil Gun, 220 grain Berry bullets and CCI mag primers. Both of them got the uppers and did not hurt the lowers. The first one destroyed the bolt. The second out of battery and shot the mag straight down. Is the mag primers responsible ? Anyone else have this experience ?
Thanks
Skidder

Re: 300 BO Loads Lil Gun and Mag primers
I have used 8.2 to 8.5 gr of lil gun for many subsonic loads with 200 to 247gr bullets and never had any problems.
I have used magnum and standard primers on many sub loads, no issues.
Honestly It really sounds like a double charge.

Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in

thats kind of what i'd be thinking. especially since it was two different uppers.
unless its a squib load situation followed up by a kaboom anyway.
op: did the bullet clear the barrel?
