Reload data

Post by txhunter76 »

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased some Barnes 120gr tac tx and wanted to reload them unfortunately I am unable to find load data for CFEBLK.
Has anyone here loaded any using this powder.
I will be using them for hog hunting. Will be shooting out of a 16 in barrel. Also will be using new cases and cci primers
Thank you

It’s an unlikely combination to find published data. About the only data for Barnes bullets is Barnes, and they only have data for H110.

The Nosler 125 BT will be a good substitute. Hodgdon data loads it at 2.060”, Barnes designed the bullet to be loaded to 2.250”. The difference in bullet length is .200”. So this means the same amount of bullet will be in the case, in spite of the different loaded length.

Using data for the heavier bullet will give an additional margin of error. Just start at minimum charge and work up.

Best I can do for that combination.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
