I have several different weights of .30 cal bullets and am not sure which ones would work in 300 BO.
They are:
200 Sierra 150gr Spitzer
100 Speer 165gr Spitzer
150 Nosler 180gr Partition
100 pulled 165gr fmj
Are any of these useful in 300 BO?
Thanks in advance.

Re: suitable bullets
You can certainly load all and shoot all. What application are you looking to use them for?
Re: suitable bullets
Just make sure the bullet will expand around 100 yards based on velocity.
Re: suitable bullets
I am not really sure, right now I am just trying to sort out what I have on hand could be used for, with the current shortage of components I think I might as well use what I have on hand already.
My only problem might be what powder I have.
I have a pound of A1680 and two pounds of W296.
Right now I have about 300 cases for loading, and 250 loaded factory ammo I bought about two years ago for .40 a round!

Re: suitable bullets
Those two powders are certainly suitable for those bullet weights. The powder and bullet combos that you have may not be what your first choice would have been for certain applications but they'll be suitable for most of what you need/want to do with them if need be. And there is certainly nothing wrong with those bullet/powder combos for target/plinking.
Re: suitable bullets
They can all come out the end of the barrel and put a hole in paper, or make noise on steel. If you want to hunt with them it will depend on what you are shooting them out of, barrel length, and velocity hoped for, sub or super. Exact bullet would be helpful.sean4570 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 5:59 pm I have several different weights of .30 cal bullets and am not sure which ones would work in 300 BO.

Of the powders listed in your other post, the 1680 will work best for the heavier bullets, with the 150, it could go either way.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
