Hornady 30303 "300 Savage" bullet

Post by Irikumi »

I recently purchased 200 Hornady "30303" bullets to reload, it's a 150 grain pill that is just a tad shorter then the "30302". I was wondering if anyone has an experience with this specific bullet in a 300 Blackout? It is a bullet that Hornady designed in there SST line specifically for the 300 Savage. In the Hornady reload manual they list the 30302 specifically, but not the 30303. Granted it was designed for the 300 Savage so that makes sense. It real only differs from the 30302 SST in being slightly shorter and the cannelure is slightly set back... anyway, anyone use these in a 300 Blackout? Just checking to see if anyone might have some experiences. I'm loading target practice loads, so not concerned about expansion, just wondering if there might be any problems with this slightly stubby bullet. Thanks...

I did a search, and only found info with this bullet referenced to the 300 Ham'r
