CFEBLK 11.0gr
CFEBLK 11.5gr
CFEBLK 12.0gr

Components Used:
300Blkout Case Head stamped WCC 12
Berry’s 220gr Plated Bullet
Remington 7 1/2 Bench Rest Small Rifle Primer
Each powder throw was weighed on two separate scales
Hornady GS350 Electronic Scale
RCBS 5-0-5 Balance Beam Scale
Both Scales were calibrated with an RCBS weight set before using.
All rounds would be fired from the bench at 50 yards from two rifles:
Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 Blackout
AR15 CMMG Barrel 1/7 Twist in 300 Blackout, Pistol Gas Tube
There was no feeding or extraction problems. In the AR15 each load locked the bolt to the rear after the last round.
100% function

you have a very clear narrating voice.

So poor overall performance in two 1/7 barrels.

You nailed it I am not happy with it at all. I really wished I had more to test with using other powders I have on hand to help out more but I plan to try and standardize all my loads with CFEBLK as I am seeing way more of it than I have seen lately of other powders I have used for 300blk.

Not sure I understand?
Talk to Dellet?
I have the powder many different brands to test with. I as talking about I wish I had more Berry's to test with but at this performance rate I am not willing to spend anymore on them.

Sorry for the double post. Dellet has some interesting data about the load characteristics of CFE BLK.

Re: Berry's 220gr & CFEBLK Powder Load Testing
so you ended up with three plinker grade loads that shoot about 2" at 50 yds in two different guns with a (relatively) cheap plated plinking grade bullet using what is probably one of the worst subsonic powders for this caliber available and you're disappointed in the bullet? also after this one very basic test (3 test loads in each gun) with no chrono data you're giving up.
i mean.. i get it if you cant get more to test with easily... but i would have tried a different powder to start with seeing as all the reports of CFEblk just not performing well as a sub powder even with high quality bullets.
im just suggesting that abandoning a bullet when you started with a deficit on the powder choice probably isnt very fair to the bullet.
