.416 Hushpuppy

Post by tcoz »

Has anybody heard about this yet or seen it at Shot Show? That is certainly one strange looking round. As 300 BLK gains in popularity, I suppose we might see other new cartridges try to capitalize on the big bullet subsonic thing. With the problems some people have feeding 300 from standard AR mags, I can't imagine the potential reliability issues this could cause, especially if people started handloading it. I just thought it was interesting.

The projected cost of a complete upper at this time is around $1,000. Complete rounds will be around $2.50 each but they promise to sell brass and supply data. No word on dies though. Could this round give 300 Blackout a run for its money?
at 2.50 a squeeze i dont see it giving blackout a run for its money anytime in the near future.

I missed that! Unless they eventually get SAAMI spec, there won't be a rush by anybody to manufacture the rounds. Unless I'm wrong, the weird appearance might put a few people off too.

Being a dog owner, it really bugs me naming a round after dog murder.

And I thought they were shoes.

Perhaps " hushraghead" would be more popular?
16" Sota arms upper W/ Adams piston, 80% lower.
AAC H&R single shot.
16" MGM barreled Contender.
Ruger American Ranch.
16" SS Sota Arms upper, For Sale.
That's just the 300 AAC 's
