I run Federal ammo in my handguns, shotguns, and rifles. I've found it to be higher quality than many other brands. Now I use a DSM4 PDW 300 for cabin defense. I've went with 125 grain bc it seems to do what a rifle should. Have it for home invasion defense and maybe black bear defense. I run Winchester whitebox at the range with great success. I've noticed that Fredom Munitions has a better price. Is Fredom as good as Win Whitebox?
I run Gorilla for my defensive loadings but this stuff is expensive. Is there a cheaper option that will run as good as gorilla?

Also check Mile High Shooting. They have the Barnes 110 and the Hornady GMX for reasonable price.
I figure for serious defense use ammo and good bourbon, I’ll pay a bit of a premium. I can cut cost on the practice ammo and hootch that I share with guests!

125gr SST is good for big hogs from the BO, don't know about bears though. 2100 fps. 2 legged creatures I'd like 180gr at 1700 fps. Light bullets for pests.
