Re: CVA pistols
Look at the difference in where the scope mount sets on the .300BO (bottom photo) and the other two, this was the only position it would mount on my 300. This and the extra drilled hole towards the muzzle and no thread protector lead me to believe these are factory screw-ups, hence the cheap price. But I'm good with it for $299

Hilarious.
Are these barrels threaded or is that something you fellas did afterwards?

Not as cool as the Franken-Handi, but should be fun.
Re: CVA pistols
Is the CVA hammer extension reversible?
This looks extremely awkward for someone that isn't southpaw.
Also, is it extractor only, or does it have an ejector to help speed up reloading?

Yes, it is. Another minor quibble...the extension is hollow but the hole is round instead of hex, so you have to use pliers.John A. wrote:Is the CVA hammer extension reversible?

Little things annoy me.
Edit: Extractor only.

Do it! You know you want to.John A. wrote:Thanks buddy!!
Re: CVA pistols
I actually do want to. I wanted a barrel for my NEF and they had already stopped producing them by the time I knew they were going to stop producing them and I wasn't able to get one. I have a 410, 20, 12 gauge and a 357/38 barrel for it.
And fleabay wanted almost $400 for the one that stayed on there being relisted over and over again and I wasn't about to pay that for a barrel.
transfer shipping and all would be under $350, and I'm trying to decide whether to get one of the bolt actions or this one???

Hmmm....mine mounted the same as the others. Are your two empty holes in the front of the mount? If so, you should be able to take it off and rotate it 180 degrees.Longcarbine wrote:Look at the difference in where the scope mount sets on the .300BO (bottom photo) and the other two, this was the only position it would mount on my 300.
