Anyone shooting subs in Bolt action?

Pondering shooting 190 Hornady subs suppressed out of my new Howa. If your shooting subs, any issues? Thanks.

It’s on my list!!

They are shooting. ERY well in two different AR’s for me so far. I’m thrilled as subs and me haven’t seen eye to eye.

Thanks guys. My Swamp Fox red dot (Liberator) comes in Thursday so will be trying hornady 190 subs (commercial) after I break in the Howa.

I’m using that exact round in my Ruger American w/ Omega can.

No issues, great accuracy (precision, if you will) and astoundingly quiet.

I’ll be using a sandman-s. Real quiet on my 10 inch AR shooting both supers and subs. Was getting tired of cleaning the AR after shooting subs. Just plain filth and getting into the magazine too. Will be my 1st time using my suppressor on a bolt action.

Do yourself a favor. Get a box of 90 grain XTP or similar and some fast pistol powder. Guarantee you'll giggle the first time you shoot some. viewtopic.php?f=141&t=92768

Got out to shoot today. Indoor range only. After breaking in the rifle, zero’d at 25 yards with the Hornady 190 subs. Awesome to shoot. Need to find someplace out in the boonies to zero at 50 yards. Actually pleasant to clean afterwards compared to the AR. Now to find some 190 gr or close for plinking. Hornady subs cost to much for punching paper.

I shoot 212 grain Hornady ELD, 240 grain Sierra BTHP, and 225 grain powder coated cast from a NOE mold through my 300 Blackout Howa.

Here is the 240 grain Sierra at 50 yards. The other loads group as well with the same POI.
