I shot some 200g Winchester’s today from my RARR.

They where not great. They shot better from
My MSR easy under 1.5” @ 100.

In the RUGER I barely got that @ 50 yards.

I shoot subs all the time. Mostly 208gr ELD’s for targets and goat culling and Lehigh 168gr CF for deer.

I have a Howa 1500 , 16" 300 Blackout. I reload 100gr , 130, 150 and 167gr subs, all for around 1030-1050 .
Those 190's were the first ones I tried. They were LOUD like a cannon.
You can make reloads that are about half as loud with less gaseous powders.
Commercially available subs need to cycle auto's. Bolt doesn't need that so you can use alot quieter powders.
I initially had a Ruger American to see if i'd even like the cartridge.
I did so I got a Howa . Good choice !

I almost exclusively shoot subs in my CZ 527. I am able to get about 1-1.25 MOA groups at 100yds with Sig 220gr. As others have mentioned, factory subs are designed to cycle semi autos so if you are using a bolt gun you go much quieter with a lighter projectile and faster burning pistol powder. 110 gr Sierra HPs are stupid quiet with 4-5gr of Trail Boss. There’s a whole thread over in handholding about quiet single shot loads that’s pretty cool.

I need to get a box of hornady 190 gr bullets to reload to see how quiet I can get them. The commercial version is loud with my sandman -s in my Howa. Real quiet with my AR. Heck, my 110 supers are quieter than the 190 subs.

Subs shooting very well out of my 1:10 Rem 700 ACC-SD.
110 grain SP + 5 grains Trail Boss.
No suppressor needed for that load.
