I am happy to say I have a 9" AAC upper and am consdering buying another soon.
I bought the 9" initially because it seemed to be AAC's choice as the point of diminishing returns for the caliber.
I'm looking at the Noveskes now and can't decide whether to stick with the 9" or change it up a little.
Anyone have a good chart with good data for the above barrel lengths?
8", 9", 10", 12.5" - ?

Just go by which one has the rail you like best.

Killing me.
Are the differences really that insignificant?
I suppose one of my main questions would be - when it comes to subs, do any of the above have a substantial edge over the others for cycling?
And for the record, to my surprise - after handling the Noveske Hunter - I really like the rail...

Have a Troy Viking Tactics edition 7.2" rail on hand for the build and can't decide between the AAC 9" or Noveske 8". Really would like the near seamless look between the end of the rail and can with the 8". However, the Nitride coating of the AAC barrel has me leaning that way. Hate to not use the brand new fore end.
Accuracy is paramount but looking cool is final

The other option is to get a newer 9" upper with a URXIII. That way you can have the nitride coating and no gap. Either way, an 8"-9" SBR with a can will look cool.

I love the look of an 8", paired with the 7" URX II.

I went with an 8" with a carbine URX and a 11.5" with mid-length URX

I'm very annoyed that my SDN-6 hasn't cleared yet. Pics of my final product soon...
