I made one out of a 30-06 barrel taken off of a high end rifle in school and i have shot supers and subs (with can) and at 100 yards with a red dot I am slapping a 12" x 12" steal. As for tumbling, i have not been able to get it out to longer ranges yet because of where I live but there was no baffle strikes so for me, it's great for a free trash barrel!

My Rem 700 AAC is very clearly labeled 1:7, but the cleaning rod says 1:10.
Prettier obvious it was not 1:7 when I bought it.
That works out well for me as all my bullets are 100-115 grains.
Shoots 200? grain Rem factory ammo respectably out to 50 yards, but I think that’s about the limit for those in a 1:10.
1:10 does seem to be about perfect for my light bullets.

My McGown 18" barrel is 1:10 and shoots great. Even did a cast 145gr PB to 2100 fps with accuracy.
