Now that Leupold has stopped selling any scopes with their 300 Blackout recticle (not that anyone could afford one anyway), I was wondering if anyone has tried using a crossbow scope with a rifle chambered in 300 blackout? The idea came to me this AM when I got an email from Ten Point crossbows and there was a picture of one of their scope recticles on the page.

Re: Scope Recticle
Why do you need a scope with a magic 300 Blackout reticle?
Any scope with a MOA based or Mil based reticle (and assuming the adjustments also match) work just fine with any 300 Blackout load.
For example I have a Swampfox Arrowhead 1-6x24mm Illuminated LPVO with a MOA Reticle and .5 MOA Adjustments.
I'm zeroed at 50 Yards. and the reticle is set up in 2 MOA hashes. My reticle holds are as follows rounded to the nearest MOA:
2 MOA Hash 200 Yds
4 MOA Hash 250 Yds
6 MOA Hash 300 Yds
9 MOA 350 Yds (between the 8 & 10 MOA Hashes)
12 MOA Hash 400 Yds
I've not tested the drops any further, as there not much point on a 300 BO.
My load is the Hornady 110 Grain V-Max @ 2359 FPS from a 16" Barreled AR15. I also use the Nosler 110 Grain Varmageddon interchangeably for the same drops at near the same velocities.
Primary Arms still has a 1-6 SFP scope with a 300 Blackout Reticle:

Link to my Arrowhead 1-6 with MOA Long Reticle. The Reticle is daylight bright:

Swampfox has a substantial Military, Veteran, LEO, First Responder discount. It's an upwards of 30% off.

Good to know, I'll definitely check out Swampfox!

Re: Scope Recticle
Get a good scope with good turrets. Screw BDC reticles. Look at the new Athlon 1-10.
I used a VX6HD 1-6 with mil turrets. Shot a coyote in the neck at 125yrds. Used 2.5 mil of elevation to get there with Hornady 190 SubX. I just use a dope disk in my scope cover.

Re: Scope Recticle
Bearing in mind that any reticle is only good for one magical load, as long as you take good notes with whatever you are running you'll be good regardless of reticle.
That being said I've found the SIG Bravo5 to be a really nice compromise. They have a 556 as well as a 300 reticle available.
Its a bit heavy but certainly handles being hauled through the woods, wet, dry, hot or cold.

Re: Scope Recticle
if you download some basic balistic software for your smartphone, plug in some good data - any hashed reticle becomes a 300 blk specific reticle.
i'm running Strelok Pro (i had google play credits to burn so what the heck) and love it. fantastic software.
just remember - you have to put good data in... GIGO and all that.
food for thought though.
[edit]
the good part about software solution like this is that you can save MULTIPLE loads per rifle, and multiple rifles into the software for easy access to all your data in one place.
ive got 8 different rifles saved right now, with multiple loadings for each one. its kinda nice to be able to just click and go. i sent a screenshot of a reticle to my cousin in the 2019 hunting season when i loaned him my 450 bushmaster when he went to hunt our big field. he had a good range and i plugged into the program and gave him a reticle hold... *blam* *thump* *flop* venison on the pole

Re: Scope Recticle
Plant one is spot on. If you crono your rounds, any scope with hash marks will work. Chrono your rounds.

Re: Scope Recticle
Centerpoint and Ravin are subsidiaries, and you'll see a lot of Ravin technology at Centerpoints. The Wrath 430 is at the top end of what I would call a budget bow, with a recommended retail price of $800. This bullpup-style crossbow is the most compact in Centerpoint's lineup. The stock is polymer, which makes the crossbow feel cheap, but doesn't affect performance. The trigger seemed heavy, but it was still the fourth most accurate crossbow I have owned. If you want a cheaper crossbow, you can find recommendations at https://archerytopic.com/best-crossbow/. I used this list to buy my first crossbows.
Re: Scope Recticle
FWIW the Vortex EBR-1 reticle is very useful without being overly complicated and comes in very handy 2.5-10x scopes.
