Curious how you're seating the bullet. When you say "max charge by capacity," does that mean the space around the bullet is filled?

Yes, with out getting real creative, I can get no more powder in the case and seat the bullet at 2.260”. Some powder is too bulky to fit between Side of case and bullet. Others I have tried seating the bulge partially then finishing in a hand press upside down. No real difference.bangbangping wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 9:47 am Curious how you're seating the bullet. What about IMR Red? I have used it with a Domolite special 265grn.
As usual dellet interesting work. We should talk about front Ignition some time.

Not a powder I’m familiar with. I know they are supposed to be close to the Dot powders, but not sure about density.Bob the nailer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 1:17 pm What about IMR Red? I have used it with a Domolite special 265grn.

So far #5 has been pretty good for a hand fed magazine, I can get over 6.5 grains, but it’s pretty high pressure. The project kind of got put on the back burner. I should pick it back up, just a few other projects seemed more fun.
