Is that also for the 120 and 130 offerings?

120 yes, as it was also designed for the Blackout.

The 130 Hog hammer, not really. I think it expands down to 1700
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Thanks dellet. I've had good success with the 110s but am always open to other options, like the 120. Wasn't Barnes going to drop the 110 blacktips a few years ago when the 120s came out?

So for the 110 black tips, the petals sheer off if the bullet impacts at much over 2400, and if some of the 110s come apart in flight over 2500. Has anyone tried to push the limits of the 120 gr black tip?

If you got the 120 gr black tip going up to 2300 or 2400, you wouldn't have the issues of the bullet coming apart because the velocity is low enough, but there would be more force at the same velocity from the 10 extra grains of mass?

I don't see the point of the 120 gr factory ammo. The drop is greater due to the slower velocity as compared to the 110gr, and the force is lower because the higher mass comes at the cost of slower velocity. With the 110gr you get 1349 ft-lbs force at muzzle and less bullet drop. The 120 has 1175 ft-lbs of force with more bullet drop. The only advantage the 120 black tip has is a better BC. But that doesn't seem to start to pay off in terms of muzzle energy until over 300 yards, which I think

I've used both the 110 and 120 black tips, for what I'm doing, I'm staying with the 110's.
