Re: Which dies to get??
I have a Forster Benchrest set, including their micrometer seating die, for 300 Blackout. I use RCBS small base dies, along the respective Forster micrometer seating die, for .223 and .308 Win. All three calibers have a Lee FCD in the final station. I really recommend the Forster micrometer seating ...

Re: New member hoping to pick your brains about a new rifle problem.
Did you measure the gas port? Are you sure the journal size isn't 0.75"? Testing by MicroMOA shows that a gas port of 0.067" should be good to go for everything. Flat spot is normal and is caused by brass hitting the deflector differently because it's shorter than .223/5.56. Having bought ...

That is just wrong. AFAIK, never in the history of triggers has releasing a trigger fired a shot.

Re: Delta Team Tactical - beware
Sounds like you stuck a Mil-Spec stock on a Commercial tube. If you're forcing anything on an AR, besides a roll pin, you're probably doing something wrong. I'm guessing you ordered: https://www.deltateamtactical.com/HEAVY-DUTY-BUFFER-TUBE-KIT-COMMERCIAL-SIZE-HIGH-QUALITY_p_3983.html and https://www...

Re: Reloading question- cost
Don't think twice. Buy a 550. It's the best bang for the buck out there. Thanks- these are some of the reasons that I'm thinking about it. I LOVE to shoot suppressed and have enough suppressors for the family. Just keep looking at the prices I'm paying for subs and its pretty high. I know that I'm n...

Re: Reloading question- cost
My initial reloading investment (Dillon 550, tumbler, dies, etc...) was easily recouped after about a year of shooting IPSC. Where you don't save money is when you do a bunch of stocking up so you can save money. As to the cost for one round of subsonic 300 AAC Blackout ammo: Brass can be free if yo...

Re: Where to buy non-cast bulk 208gr?
Well, if you want to unsettle on 208 gr, I would watch Shooter's Pro Shop and buy blem/overrun Nosler 220 gr Custom Competition bullets in the $0.25-0.28 range. If you want to go a little lighter, they often have Nosler 190 gr CC blem/overrun bullets as low as $0.21 per bullet. If you're ex/current ...

Re: Ultimate 300BLK bug out ammo
I think this test emulates some FBI "Barrier Blind" test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mXa5AiT0r4 And a more real world test from TWANGnBANG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adaEF5NJ_iI My thinking for a SHTF situation is I would want a round that penetrates and still expands. With the...
