Re: Micrometer seating dies - why?

For the same reason I have a micrometer on my powder bars. I like repeatability and not having to guess a bunch to get to where I want to be.

Re: Final trimming

My brain won't allow me to use any trimmer that stacks tolerances so I use a Forster hand crank trimmer. None of that shoulder indexed trimming for me...

I have been thinking about setting up a Dillon Rapid Trim in one of the holes in my Redding turret press.

Re: AAC SDN-6 killing my accuracy

You wouldn't happen to be using a crush washer with your mount would you?

Also here's a old thread where someone is have a similar problem with the same suppressor and a .308 Win. His problem ended up being threads not concentric with bore.

The piece of crap is still out there, probably already making his next moves to further damage our country. I'm still having a pretty good day though!

I'd look at the LaRue Tranquilo. He doesn't rate stuff but LaRue does provide some of the best stuff and customer service in the industry. Note page 3 of the ar15 link to see him deciding that the Tranquilo is fine with 300 Win Mag. http://www.larue.com/larue-tranquilo-sound-suppressor-m308 http://w...

Re: Almost BHO

Another way to tune reciprocating weight is with the bolt carrier. If you're running a full auto carrier switching to a commercial carrier would give you a little less weight and may give you reliable full function.

The reloading stuff is just the icing on the cake. The cake is the M134. The baker was a genius. Rest in peace.

Re: looking for a flash can to add 4" to barrel length.

Is there some reason you wouldn't want a 14.5" barrel and then pin and weld a 2" device? I just want to understand your fixation on a 12.5" barrel...

Re: Do Anderson barrels have correct port size?

I haven't seen a lot of barrels in that config. If you just want to shoot supers try a commercial (lighter) carrier, carbine buffer, and make sure the rounds you're trying are loaded with plenty of H110. If you ever want to play with subs, ditch it and get a pistol gas barrel.

Re: Any regrets for spending $350+ on a new barrel??

And yet another vote for not cleaning the barrel so much. I run a bore snake with a bit of CLP on it every once in a while and that's it. My first 300 Blackout barrel was a 16" DD and it's a solid performer.
